Sendmaster XP

Summary

A freeware program for sending short text messages to computers in your local network (LAN).

Description

This program is for sending short text messages to a user  or a work group in your LAN.
Write your message, select, whether you want to send it to a user or group, write a name of the user/group and click Send message. The recipient(s) receive(s) the message in a few seconds. "user" means a user name or a computer name.
The program supports saving/loading messages, running after your logon and minimizing/closing to the traybar, history, and adding its link to your Start up menu.
The program uses the service "Messenger". So if you don't want to receive messages you can stop the service (but then you cannot send any message).
The services are not supported in Windows ME/98/95/3.11 so the program doesn't work there. But if you use Windows ME/98/95/3.11 use the program WinPopup (C:\WINDOWS\WINPOPUP.EXE). It has the same functionality (but doesn't work in Windows XP/2000/NT) and messages from Sendmaster and WinPopup are compatible!

Requirements

The program requires Windows XP/2000/NT. If you use Windows ME/98/95/3.11 use WinPopup (C:\WINDOWS\WINPOPUP.EXE) - messages are compatible.

Download
